 "Monet's Palette Mixture" Sunflower
I was very disappointed with this seed packet  - it was supposed to be a mix of different sunflower varieties.  The only seeds that germinated were the dark, almost black sunflowers (which are very beautiful but not what I expected when I think of "Monet").  It wasn't until the end of the sunflower season that this one little yellow sunflower appeared (as seen in the first picture).  I just wonder what the other flowers would have looked like if they had germinated - gives me something to look forward to next year. Enjoy the pictures!  All photos were taken by me (Angie Ouellette-Tower) and the sunflowers were all grown in my garden.© (2012)
